Looking back eight years ago, I haven’t imagine celebrating our wedding anniversary far from Manila. There was no plans of going somewhere else. My heart and mind were set in the land I love…the Philippines.
But here we are, blessed with the opportunity to see other cultures, and more blessed to see happy faces of blessed people with our two kids, Zach and Coco.
Frankly, we didn’t imagine that, nor put all those things in blue print to be carefully executed.
Marriage and family are two different strokes of life. Perfect balancing is not the key, but the grace and blessings from God to keep the two in perfect sync.
One thing I have learned for a couple of years as a husband and a father is that you don’t have to take your role seriously. keep it light but store the light moments and fun part deep in your memory. Retrieve it whenever necessary.
What about the romance? Don’t ever forget new style. Not the one that you are thinking, though. But lately, I was poor in this department.
Eight is great. Without pre-empting next year’s celebration, I wonder where we would be? Somewhere cheap but lovely.
Happy Anniversary, Ga!
